The condition states:
Within ninety days following completion of the construction activities
approved through the USACE permit, submit to the Division, a revised
reclamation plan for the Chambers Gravel Pit, showing the final proposed
configuration for the site. The reclamation plan shall include an engineering
stability analyses for the proposed final reclaimed north bank of the Colorado
River, located along the south permit boundary of this site.
The deadline for this condition was extended by DRMS to July 31, 2015.
Attached to this letter you will find the following documents that should satisfy the condition as
stated above.
Document
2014 Monitoring Report by P. Kearl
2015 Maintenance Plan by P. Kearl
Final Maintenance Report by P. Kearl
As noted in the 2015 Maintenance Plan, overgrazing by the landowner has prevented vegetation
from taking hold on a portion of the project area. Therefore, the operator installed large rocks for
bank stabilization in lieu of vegetation. The approved plan from USACE does not anticipate this
modification, and therefore P. Kearl has submitted a request to modify condition No. 9 of the
USACE permit. The Division will be provided with a copy of the final approval of this
modification when it is received.
