PUBLIC NOTICE <br />C.B. Minerals Company, LLC., 2352 N. 7th Street, Unit B, Grand Junction, CO 81501, has <br />submitted an application for a Technical Revision to the Colorado Division of Reclamation, <br />Mining & Safety (DRMS), for its Coal Ridge No. 1 Mine, mining permit No. C-1984-065. <br />The proposed revision demonstrates that a six and one half acre area that will be disturbed <br />during the reclamation of Sediment Pond A will not increase the sediment loss in <br />comparison to pre -mining, adjacent conditions. <br />The mine is located approximately 3 miles east of New Castle, south of the Colorado River <br />in the Grand Hogback region in Garfield County. The Coal Ridge No. 1 Mine permit area is <br />located on the U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute Storm King Mountain and New Castle <br />Quadrangle maps. The mine permit area is located in portions of the following described <br />lands: <br />Township 6 South, Range 91 West, 6th PM <br />Sec. 1: Those lands in the NE% yet south of the right-of-way of County <br />Road 335, Lots 3 and 4, S'/2, SY2NW% <br />Sec. 12: NY2NE% <br />Township 6 South, Range 90 West, 6th PM <br />Sec. 5: <br />SY2SWY4 <br />Sec. 6: <br />All lands south of the right-of-way of County Road <br />Sec. 7: <br />NE'/4, NY2NW% <br />Sec. 8: <br />N'/2, NY2SEY4, NE%SW'/4 <br />Sec. 9: <br />SY2NW'/, SW% <br />Sec. 15: <br />NW% <br />Sec. 16: <br />N'/NE%, NE%NW'/4 <br />containing 2484.3 acres more or less. <br />Ownership of the land within the permit boundary is all private and includes land owned by <br />NCIG Financial, Inc., Barton Porter and Leonard Rippy. <br />A copy of the proposed revision is available for public inspection at the Garfield County <br />Clerk and Recorder's office, Garfield County Court House, 109 8th Street, Suite 200, <br />Glenwood Springs, CO, 81601 and at the offices of the Division of Reclamation, Mining & <br />Safety, 1313 Sherman St., Room 215, Denver, CO, 80203, (303) 866-3567. Written <br />comments or objections to the proposed revision may be submitted to and additional <br />information may be obtained from the Division of Reclamation, Mining & Safety at the <br />above address. Written comments must be received by the Division of Reclamation, Mining <br />& Safety within 10 days after the date of this publication in order to be considered. <br />
