SedCad has been used to demonstrate that the average annual sediment yield, after
reclamation, will be less than pre -mining levels with sediment logs in-place. Area 1 is
the borrow area/topsoil stockpile. Area 2 is the sediment pond and associated ditches.
Area 3 is the topsoil stockpile.
Please see page 4-58ix, the site specific sediment control plan for the 2015 reclamation
activities.
Per the terms of the discharge permit, a DRMS approved sediment control plan must be
in place no later than December 31, 2015. Since reclamation activities could be
finished by October 31, 2015 it is necessary to obtain approval for this sedimentation
control plan as soon as possible.
Please call with any questions, and let me know if there is anything I can do to expedite
the process.
Sincerely,
Tamme Bishop, P.E.
Project Engineer
Enclosures
Revised Pages:
Pages 4-58i, 4-58i(a), 4-58vii, 4-58viii, 4-58ix, 4-58x
