July 19, 2015
Korinek Sand Et Gravel
Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety
1313 Sherman St, Room 215
Denver, CO 80203
RE: Mine ID# M-1979-131
Gerold Korinek
640 County Lane 15
Manzanola, CO 81058
(719)469-6510
korineksand(a- gq ail.com
I, Gerald Korinek, owner of Korinek Sand & Gravel, during the past 12 months, have mined
approximately 48,630 tons of dirt and gravel from the permitted area.
The area on map that is shaded in pink is the disturbed area from the last 12 months, which
represents about 1 acre of permitted area.
The area on the map that is shaded in green is newly reclaimed area of permitted land.
The area on the map that is shaded in purple is area of permitted pit that I plan to reclaim in the
next 12 months.
During the first 6 months of the last year, we were in a severe drought condition which affected
our business & our reclamation efforts but have established permanent pasture on new areas.
We anticipate a similar year in the next 12 months as far as sales are concerned. We should not
have as much affected land in the coming year because the depth of our gravel bank has
increased the further away from the river we mine. We shouldn't have any trouble with
anticipated reclamation efforts provided the drought does not return.
If you have any questions, please call me at (719)469-6510
Sincerely,
Gerald W. Korinek
