Townsend Ave. <br />Montrose, CO 81401 <br />Re: Bowie No. 2 Mine (Permit No. C-1996-083) <br />Bond Release Application No. 1(SL-1) <br />Dear Mr. Dyer: <br />Bowie Resources, LLC has applied for a bond release at the Bowie No. 2 Mine. The bond <br />release application was found complete by this Division on July 15, 2015. Bond Relese No. 1 <br />requests the partial bond release for 33 acres of Phase I; 49.4 acres of Phase I and II; and 1 acres <br />including 185 drilled holes and two sealed mine shafts for Phase I, II, and III. SL -1 requests the <br />release of $1,500,000 of liability associated with disturbances approved for the Bowie No. 2 <br />Mine. The surface ownership is federal and private, and the coal mined was federal and private. <br />We will contact you to advise you of the Division's required bond release inspection of the site as <br />soon as it has been scheduled.
