The water level in the overlaying Wadge seam gob has been
verified through the monitoring well that was drilled in the 19 Right Gateroad. Included with this notification are the
following:
• Map #1 — Wolf Creek Seam Projections
• Memorandum — Stability of the Gateroad in the Wolf Creek Seam Under the Wadge Seam Water Pool by
Dr. Murali M. Gadde and Dr. Anil K. Ray.
The attached memorandum contains numerical and empirical analysis of the interburden between the Wadge and
Wolf Creek seams. The memorandum concludes that development mining in the Wolf Creek seam can be done
safely underneath of the Wadge seam water pool. The Wadge seam gob will be adequately dewatered prior to
longwall mining in the affected area.
If you have any questions regarding this submittal, please contact me at 970-875-2150.
