area was spread out over the working bench with a D9 dozer. The accumulated material is
approximately 3-4 inches off the top of the open cut of the mining area. For example: the volume of
overburden in the active north cut area is (79,174 sf) X (4 inches) = 26,391 cf or 977 cy. The same D9
dozer is used to spread the overburden material across the working bench area (the haul length is a
maximum of 394 feet). Just prior to the reclamation of the active mining area, that same overburden
material will be collected for treatment of the topsoil prior to using it to fill the open cut as required in
the reclamation process.
Final grading can then proceed and will be graded to the contours as shown on the reclamation plan.
The approximate range of slope gradient at reclaimed areas is 20% to 30% and is intended to match
existing grade.
RA2000\2089.00 Sprague Quarry\DOCUMENTS\PERMITS\2015 Mining Permit\For Permit Package Submittal\Exhibits\Exhibit E - Reclamation
Plan.docx
