PUBLIC NOTICE
<br />GCC Energy, LLC, 6473 County Road 120, Hesperus, Colorado, 81326, (970) 385-4528, has submitted a
<br />complete application for a technical revision (TR -25) to a valid existing permit for the King Coal Mine (Permit C-
<br />81-035) with the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining & Safety. The purpose of the revision is to update
<br />certain surface hydrology designs and features at the King II mine site.
<br />The entire permit area is described as follows:

<br />All active mining activities of the mine he to the north and south sides of Hay Gulch, approximately 4.5-6.5
<br />miles southwest of Hesperus, CO, as identified on U.S.G.S. 7.5 -minute quadrangles of Hesperus, Kline,
<br />Thompson Park & Mormon Reservoir. The surface of the affected area is owned by the State of Colorado,
<br />Huntington Ranches, Crawford Ranches, BLM, GCC Energy, Ute Mountain Tribe, Thomas & Patricia Compton,
<br />Jack Wiltse, and Blast & Cast, Inc. The proposed land use at the completion of mining is rangeland.
<br />A copy of the application is available for public review at the La Plata County Clerk and Recorder's Office, 98
<br />Everett St., Suite C, Durango, CO, and at the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining & Safety, 1313 Sherman
<br />St., Room 215, Denver, Colorado 80203, phone (303) 866-3567. Anyone with a valid interest may submit written
<br />comments or objections within 10 days of the publication of this notice. All comments, objections, and requests
<br />must be submitted in writing to the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining & Safety at the above address.
