The depth of the backfill was observed
to be 3 feet in thickness from station 0+75 to station 6+50.
Subsequent site visits indicated that the backfill depth was increased to approximately 5 feet,
from station 6+50 to station 12+00.
From station 12+00 to station 16+00, the backfill was observed to be approximately 6 feet in
depth.
On March 30, 2105 we observed that the 12" SDR17 pipe was being preparation fused in for
installation. No abnormalities during the fusing process were noted.
On April 1, 2015 the fused under drain,
pip e had been installed from station 0+00 to station
16+00. On April 2, 2015 we observed that the 4 cleanouts had been installed in general
conformance with the project design.
On April 2, 2015 we additionally observed that the under drain pipe was receiving the on-site
tbedding cover material. The cover material thickness was observed to be about 2 feet in
thickness. On April 7, 2015, the pit run cover material was completed to station 16+00.
' Subsequently, one and one half inch recycled concrete, previously used as bedding, was
utilized to backfill the trench.
IPhase II
Phase II of the project consisted of installing a check valve from the pond at the Platte River.
The plans called for a 20 feet long drain pipe attached to the valve, but the owner/contractor
opted for a 40 feet length. The location of this check valve may not ultimately be the final
' location.
747 Sheridan Boulevard, Suite 2,4, Lakewood, Colorado 80214 (303) 238-1770 (303) 238-1741 Fax
