(EFCI), 115 E. Main Street, <br />STE 10, P.O. Box 459, Florence, Colorado 81226, <br />has filed an approval request for Technical Revi- <br />sion No.46 (TR -46) with the State of Colorado, Di- <br />vision of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (DRMS). <br />All mining operations subject to this permit have ceased, <br />and only reclamation and monitoring activities are <br />occurring. <br />Items addressed by the TR -46 Revision Request <br />consist of, replacing the existing Monitor Well <br />MW -NW, by drilling another monitoring well <br />(MWNW-2). The existing MW -NW monitor well has <br />a partial obstruction in the well casing in the <br />lower extremity of the well. <br />The Southfield Mine area is located approxi- <br />mately eight miles south of Florence, Colorado, <br />on County Road 92. The Mine area is bounded on <br />the south and west by the base of the Wet Moun- <br />tains, and Newlin Creek bisects the mine area <br />from southwest to northeast. <br />The Southfield Mine permit area is located on <br />portions of the following sections: <br />Sections 19, 30, and 31; Township 20S, Range <br />69W, 6th Principal Meridian <br />Sections 23, 24, 25, 26 and 36; Township 20S, <br />Range 70W, 6th Principal Meridian <br />These sections are shown on the U.S. Geological <br />Survey 7.5 minute Rockvale quadrangle map <br />(Mine Area). <br />The proposed site for the new monitoring well <br />(MWNW-2) is situate in the SW4, SW4, Section 19, <br />Range 69W, Township 20S of the 6th P.M. <br />A complete copy of the Southfield Permit Revi- <br />sion Application is on file and available for public <br />inspection in both the Clerk and Recorders Office <br />in the Fremont County Courthouse, Canon City, <br />Colorado, and the DRMS offices located at the <br />following address: <br />Colorado Department of Natural Resources <br />Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety <br />1313 Sherman Street, Room 215 <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br />Phone: (303) 866-3567 <br />Additional information regarding the subject ap- <br />plication may be obtained at the DRMS.
