June 16, 2015 C-1982-056/Foidel Creek Mine JLE <br />The sediment ponds at the 18 Left Borehole were observed. The upper pond was holding water but was not <br />discharging. The lower pond was damp but was not discharging. The primary spillways were clear and <br />functional. The embankments were vegetated and stable. <br />Pond F was holding water but not discharging. The embankment was stable and the primary and emergency <br />spillways were clear and functional. <br />The ditch adjacent to the 0 -Entry Fan has been cleaned out. <br />Pond E was holding water and discharging. This pond needs to be cleaned out. According to Mr. Watterson, he is <br />coordinating with a contractor with a backhoe to come and clean out the pond. <br />Pond D was holding water and discharging. TC intends to clean out the delta that has formed at the inlet to this <br />pond. They intend to de -energize the powerline the runs across the pond inlet. <br />The sump above Pond B was recently dredged out and is holding water. A delta has formed at the inlet of the first <br />cell of Pond B. Pond B was discharging. <br />Pond T was holding water but was not discharging. The embankment was stable and the primary and emergency <br />spillway was clear and functional. The embankment is vegetated and stable. <br />RDA -4a ditch was walked. The ditch was clear and functional. <br />The following are new maintenance items: <br />• The inlet to the 6MN ventilation shaft sediment pond is eroding and needs to be repaired. <br />Figure 3.
