In accordance with 2.05.3(2)(b), please amend Map King II -005 to show the <br />proposed timetable for mining the coal resource located within the DRMS permit. <br />DRMS 06/14: Proposed years for future mining are shown on Map King II -005, as are <br />the workings that have already been developed. A cross -hatched area is outlined in <br />the NW corner of Section 36, extending into the OSM permit area. Is this an area <br />from which pillars have been pulled? Please include the symbol in the Legend, and <br />label the OSM permit area. Also, please identify the area of the underground <br />workings where water may be stored, as described in the water court decree. <br />2. Rule 2.05.3(4) Ponds, Impoundments, other treatment facilities and diversions. <br />DRMS 02/18: GCC is in the process of preparing a Technical Revision (TR) application to <br />update surface water portions of the King II permit to reflect as -built conditions (this topic <br />is discussed further in the Division's inspection report for Jan. 28, 2015). <br />DRMS 06/14: The application due date for TR -25 has been extended to June 30, 2015. <br />3. Rule 2.05.3(5) Topsoil <br />a. DRMS 02/18: A narrative about topsoil salvage and storage is found in King II Section <br />2.05.3 page 6. The required information is available in the narrative. Please include <br />a statement directing the reader to the location of a map which shows the stockpile <br />locations. <br />DRMS 06/14: A note was inserted into the Topsoil paragraph of King II 2.05.3, as <br />requested. This item has been satisfactorily addressed. <br />b. DRMS 02/18: The narrative in King II Section 2.05.3 page 6 states that the topsoil <br />replacement depth will be 6 inches. The narrative in King II Section 2.05.4 page 9 <br />states that the topsoil finished depth will be 12 inches. Please clarify what the final <br />replacement depth of topsoil will be and verify that enough topsoil has been <br />salvaged to achieve the required depth. <br />DRMS 06/14: The permit has been revised, as requested. However, the content of <br />revised page 6 differs somewhat from the version currently approved. Please review <br />the approved verbiage and page breaks, to ensure that no information is lost. <br />2.05.4 Reclamation Plan <br />1. DRMS 02/18: Rule 2.05.4(2)(b): The estimated reclamation costs for the King Coal Mine <br />have been updated by the Division to reflect 2014 unit costs. The revised reclamation cost <br />estimate is $884,249.71. The detailed cost estimate is attached for your review and <br />comment. Please update Appendix 12, Reclamation Bond Estimate, with the most recent <br />reclamation cost estimate (Midterm Review No. 7). <br />DRMS 06/14: Copies of the MT -07 RCE were provided for insertion into the King I and II <br />permit binders. This item has been satisfactorily addressed. <br />
