Response: We believe this question meant to identify Map 41A rather than Map 41S. We <br />have reviewed the channel in question and have extended the design channel's length. <br />Previously, the channel was 7,624 feet in length. About 1,290 feet of additional design <br />channel has been added to the upper reach. Map 41A is submitted as a result of this change. <br />Rule 4.09 — Disposal of Excess S <br />21. Maps 23A, 41A and 45 show changes to the footprints of the West Taylor and East Taylor <br />Fills. Cross-sections A -A' through D -D' on Map 20B also shows changes to the location and <br />elevations of the Taylor and East Taylor Fills. There was no information submitted with Technical <br />Revision 105 that discusses these changes and no geotechnical stability reports that verify these <br />changes are acceptable. Please review the changes made to the footprints and elevations of the <br />West Taylor and East Taylor Fills and provide all of the necessary information for the Division <br />to review these changes. This information includes geotechnical reports and updated permit text <br />(including the volumetrics shown on South Taylor/Lower Wilson- Rule 4, Page 14). <br />Response: As noted in the response to Comment 19, the footprints of both fills are being <br />modified with this submittal. A geotechnical review letter for the revised TR105 postmining <br />topography and associated fill limits has been provided with this submittal in Volume 13, <br />Exhibit 21, Item 1 as Addendum No. 5. <br />Revised Earthwork Volumes are recalculated for both fills and appropriate text has been <br />updated on Rule 4, Page 15. <br />Page 12 <br />
