Y 1'\,,,-T E
June 5, 2015
Mr. Bob Oswald
Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety
1313 Sherman St, Rm 215
Denver, CO
80203
Revenue Mine (M-2012-032) Technical Revision 06
Dear Mr. Oswald,
Fortune Revenue Silver Mines, Inc. submits the following technical revision to the reclamation permit for
the Revenue Mine. The reason for this technical revision is the elevated metals levels detected in wells
GW -2A and GW -3A. It is believed that the source of the metals found within these wells is the presence
of sulfide bearing rock and iron refuse buried within the old Revenue waste rock pile. As can be seen in
the data provided to the Division on April 28th and May 21" of this year, there are elevated levels of iron,
lead, cadmium, and zinc.
The presence of elevated total iron in particular supports the idea that the water in the wells is from
local ground water that has passed through the rock and refuse within the old Revenue waste rock pile.
Fortune knows this iron has never shown in any significant level in any tailings SPLP test but it is
definitely present in rusty old metal that was uncovered when Sediment Pond 2 and the Mine Water
Pond were constructed. The tailings material that is being placed is compacted in thin lifts to reduce
water movement through it as much as possible. It is highly unlikely that very much runoff from rain or
snowmelt is passing through the tailings, and significant quantities of water moving through a very
porous medium would be necessary to transport insoluble metals to the monitoring wells.
However, in an effort to ensure that the tailings that are placed in all of the designated tailings sites at
the Revenue Mine do not leach metals into the area ground water, Fortune proposes the following:
The Revenue Mine mill will place tailings material in the approved tailings embankment areas (Revenue
waste pile or Atlas waste pile) with a paste pH of up to 10.5. The elevated pH of tailings material will
further reduce the chance that any metals will dissolve from contact with runoff.
FORTUNE REVENUE SILVER MINES, INC.
Corporate Headquarters: 148 Fullarton Street ( Suite 1600 ( London I Ontario I Canada I N6A 51`3 1 Tel: 519-858-8188 1 Fax: 519-858-8155
Colorado Office: P.O.
