Box 191 - 100 North 3'6 Street <br />Victor, Colorado 80860 <br />(719) 689-2977 — Fax (719) 689-3254 <br />Weed Control Program Implementation <br />22 April 2015 <br />CC&V will annually conduct a mine wide invasive weed location assessment and mitigation. Following <br />the annual spring weed survey an action plan for weed spraying at designated locations by an <br />appropriately qualified contractor will be executed. The contractor will use as appropriate pack, ATV and <br />truck mounted spray equipment. <br />Areal extent of program: <br />The weed assessment will include in addition to the mine site, designated buffer zones adjacent to the <br />mining permit boundary e.g. Cripple Creek drainage, Grassy Valley (Lazy S), Poverty Gulch, and mine <br />owned land in the Bateman Creek area south of the Carlton entrance (see attached map). <br />Content of survey: <br />Annual assessment will survey include: <br />a. Identify the extent of Colorado List A, B and C weed infestations and to document their <br />locations. <br />b. Visual determination density of infestation on selected areas to help CC&V identify <br />management priorities for affected areas. <br />C. Use compatible GPS technology to identify survey areas and designation of weeds found <br />by survey sector. <br />Results of this assessment will be used as the basis for vector mapping of infestation and provide <br />direction for management. <br />Weed Mitigation: <br />Mitigation by spraying will focus on significant concentrations of invasive species on the mine site and <br />where permission can be obtained properties adjacent to the mine. <br />
