The files in the mine office should be updated.
*2 No permission for residence pre -subsidence surveys yet
*3 There is no need to change the status of the mine from active to temporary cessation provided that mine staff remain
actively involved in operation or reclamation
*4 The RCE (in exhibit 28 of the PAP) should be updated with the most recent cost estimate which was completed
in conjunction with TR68/RN6
*5 The public comment period for the proposed renewed NPDES permit closed on April 6. NECC chose not to
make any comments and no comments were submitted by any other party. A copy of the renewed permit should
be on file in the mine office. Additionally, exhibit 22 of the PAP should be updated with the renewed permit — this
could be accomplished with RN6. (It is not necessary to maintain two copies, so the copy in the bonding folder
could be abandoned)
*6 The file should be updated with the renewed stormwater management plan
*7 The 2014 AHR has been sent to the Division and should be filed at the mine.
*8 The waste bank inspection file should be brought up to date
*9 NECC should plan to test the compaction of newly deposited material on the RDA — this is in hand, none of the
development waste has yet been hauled due to mechanical issues with two of the haul trucks and the third being used at
Lorencito. CL Thompson is expected to be contracted for the compaction testing.
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 7
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 4
Page 19 of 19
