Name of Addressee
Page 7
Date
into the East Diversion Ditch. (An event of that type appears to have occurred naturally, in 2007,
from a point directly above the proposed Borrow Area #3.)
BRL Response: Since borrow area No. 3 will no longer be utilized, no response is necessary.
Division Response: This item is no longer pertinent with regard to TR -98.
19. Division Initial Comment (3/11/2015): Section E -E' is graphed eastward only to the intercept
of coal mine waste with the natural ground. Please extend the cross section eastward to reflect
the natural topography for a distance beyond the limits of the gob.
BRL Response: Please see revised Figure 1 with corrected section E -E'.
Division Response: Section E -E' has been extended to the east and west, as requested.
This item has been adequately addressed.
20. Division Initial Comment (3/11/2015): Section E -E' depicts the East Diversion Ditch as being
constructed on top of the Gob surface. This practice does not conform to Rules 4.09.2(7) and
4.10.3(2), which require that all surface drainage from the area above the coal mine waste bank
be diverted. Please revise the design for Gob Pile #2 to comply with this requirement.
BRL Response: Section E -E' erroneously depicted the East Diversion ditch as being constructed
in the gob. The section has been corrected. Please see revised Figure 1.
Division Response: Section E -E' was revised to show the East Diversion Ditch being constructed
outside the limits of the coal mine waste bank.
This item has been adequately addressed.
If you have any questions or comments feel free to contact me.
