EXHIBIT I
SOILS INFORMATION
The Sprague Quarry is located near an old mine, and there is little top soil remaining. However, as stated
in the United States department of Agriculture soil Conversion Service letter of March 13, 1981, the
remaining soil is shallow, well -drained soil with a surface layer of stony sandy loam up to 11 inches
deep. Approximately 35% of the area is rock outcrop. Any loose surface soil has between 35% and 70%
stones and cobbles. The soil in this area is mapped as a Baller-rock Outcrop Complex. A more detailed
description is available in the Larimer County Soil Survey. See the attached letters and excerpt from the
Larimer County Soil Survey.
R:\2000\2089.00 Sprague Quarry\D0CUMENTS\PERMIT5\2015 Mining Permit\For Permit Package Submittal\Exhibit I Soils Information
