PERMIT #: M-1996-052
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: ECS
INSPECTION DATE: May 27, 2015
OBSERVATIONS
This was a routine inspection for the Firestone Gravel Resource, a 366 acre 112c sand and gravel permit
operated by L.G. Everist (LGE), conducted by Eric Scott of DRMS. DRMS visited the site with Lynn Mayer-Shults
of LGE. The permit boundary is marked with property fences and the required site identification sign was
present at the site entrance.
The site was active and appears to be in compliance with the approved mining plan at the time of this
inspection. All activity at this time (approximately 122 acres) is located on the west side of the former RR right
of way. The remaining area of the site is still being utilized as agricultural land.
The only problem noted during the inspection was the presence of noxious weeds at the site (cheatgrass,
bindweed, thistle and Russian olive). These noxious plants need to be eliminated before they become
established and widespread using weed control measures such as spraying or mowing. The presence of
noxious weeds is cited as a problem on the first page of this report along with the corrective actions and
corrective action due date.
No other issues were noted during this inspection.
Inspection Contact Address
Lynn Mayer-Shults
L.
