Pond 15- Inspected the pond for overall stability and functionality. Pond 15 is a pre -law pond <br />that is only used as an impoundment. Therefore, discharge points do not apply. Pond 15 was not <br />holding water at the time of inspection. Vegetation was non-existent. No other areas of concern <br />were identified at the time of inspection. <br />Sins and Markers (Rule 4.02): <br />Mine identification signs are present throughout the various entrances to the mine. However, <br />there are some signs that need to be updated to ensure that in the event a citizen wanted to look <br />up permit information electronically, the complete permit number is available. The following <br />locations have been identified as areas where the signage is considered inadequate (not inclusive <br />list): <br />1. Sign at mine office entrance (See Figure 4 below) <br />2. Sign at BB Road and 2800 Road <br />3. Sign at Pond 8 entrance <br />4. Sign at Pond 9 entrance <br />The disturbed area perimeter is clearly marked with fence posts and signage in accordance with <br />4.02.3. All observed topsoil stockpiles are marked in accordance with 4.02.7. <br />General Compliance: <br />No compliance issues were noted and no enforcement actions were taken as a result of this <br />inspection. <br />Maintenance Items: <br />1. Ensure that topsoil stockpiles are protected from wind and water erosion as discussed in <br />the closeout meeting; <br />2. Ensure that any sediment loading occurring specifically at the Pond 13 inlet is regularly <br />cleaned and maintained; <br />3. Ensure that all mine site identification signs are updated to include the complete permit <br />numbers. <br />
