Bill Bear of Bowie Resources, LLC (BRL) accompanied the entire <br />inspection. Weather was clear and the mine site was wet, according to Bill Bear the mine has recieved 3.82" of <br />precipitation since 5/1/2015 to the date of the inspection. <br />The Bowie No. 2 Mine is an active underground mine. BRL was mining B seam coal in the west end of longwall <br />panel 17 with continous miners operating in the set-up room of Panel 18. Refuse was being hauled to Gob Piles <br />92 and 93. No trains were observed during the inspection. <br />AIR RESOURCE PROTECTION— Rule 4.17: <br />No fugitive dust emitting from the conveyor, gob piles, or roads was observed during the inspection. No water <br />trucks were observed on the roads during the inspection; however, evidence recent road watering was observed. <br />AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS— Rule 5.02.4(1): <br />All records were inspected at the Bowie No. 2 Mine offices. A DRMS Availability of Records form is attached to <br />this report. <br />FISH and WILDLIFE — Rule 4.18: <br />The postmining land use for the majority of the area to be disturbed is rangeland and wildlife habitat. During the <br />inspection a heavy amount of Mule deer were observed throughout the mine site. The mining operations are not <br />currently having a negative effect on the winter range of Mule deer in the area of the operations.
