The associated
bond was therefore reduced from $243,500 to $64,439. Premier Silica believes that the actual
bond of $64,439 will cover any future potential reclamation costs.
2) Explain why the Operator has not recommenced operations or begun reclamation;
Premier Silica did not recommence operation at the Jemadojin Mine because the mining of sand
in the area is not economic at this time. We did not ask for a permanent release from the
reclamation liability because of potential economic conditions in the future. This concurs with the
desire of the property owner to pursue the option to operate the mine even after the lease
agreement with Premier Silica expires.
3) Demonstrate continued commitment to conduct mining operations at the site by the end of
the second five year period.
✓ AF & Report
✓ No Violations
