Cat dozers and a Cat excavator rough/finished graded the Phase 2 Surface Water <br />Diversion Channel in the vicinity of stations S38+00 through S44+00. <br />Cat dozers placed structural fill in the vicinity of stations C14+00 through C16+00. <br />GPS equipped Cat dozers graded the slope between the E and G benches in the vicinity of <br />stations E4+00 and G4+00. The dozer was supported by a Cat excavator with attached rock <br />hammer, breaking oversized rock. A Cat smooth drum roller compacted the finished subgrade. <br />All of the above Structural Fill material was placed, compacted, and graded per the project plans <br />and specifications. <br />Subgrade: <br />Subgrade was accepted in the areas shown on the attached figure. <br />Soil Liner Fill: <br />Soil Liner Fill (SLF) processing continued at the Cameron Site. Cat 777 haul trucks hauled SLF <br />from the Cameron stockpile to the Phase 1 stockpile. <br />Cat 740 haul trucks hauled SLF from the Phase 1 stockpile to the A and C benches. GPS <br />equipped Cat dozers placed Soil Liner Fill material between the Phase 1 A and C benches <br />upslope of approximately stations A6+00 through A8+00. <br />A Cat excavator built a containment berm between stations Q2+50and Q3+00 on the west <br />perimeter. <br />The above activities were performed per the project plans and specifications. <br />Drain Cover Fill: <br />A Cat dozer and a Komatsu loader spread and finish graded previously hauled and placed Drain <br />Cover Fill material between B and DD benches between stations 132+00 through B11+00. The <br />dozer maintained a minimum of two feet of cover between the LLDPE liner and the dozer tracks; <br />the loader maintained four feet cover <br />Prior to DCF placement, solution collection piping was placed on the approved LLDPE liner per <br />the project drawings. <br />Ames and Amec personnel were on site throughout the shift to monitor the integrity of the liner <br />and piping during DCF placement. All DCF activities were performed per the project plans and <br />specifications. <br />Underdrain System: <br />Primary Underdrain: Complete. <br />Secondary Underdrain: A Cat excavator prepared underdrain trench between stations <br />116+00 and K10+00. Approximately 300 feet of underdrain <br />was constructed and backfilled per project plans and <br />specifications. <br />Tertiary Underdrain: No activity <br />
