Therefore, exposure of ground <br />water must not occur during or after mining operations. <br />❑ The proposed operation will consume ground water by: ❑ evaporation, ❑ dust control, ❑ <br />reclamation, ❑ water removed in the mined product, ❑ processing, ❑ other: <br />® The proposed operation will consume surface water by: ® evaporation, ® dust control, ❑ <br />reclamation, ® processing, ® other: gravel sales. The use of the surface water must be in <br />accordance with all terms and conditions of its decree. <br />COMMENTS: The subject application is for a surface mining operation on approximately 45.08 permitted acres <br />just northwest of Fairplay, Colorado. The primary commodity to be mined at the site is placer gold, with <br />secondary mining of rock, sand, and gravel. The site is proposed to be reclaimed to its current use of wildlife <br />habitat upon completion of this mining operation. <br />Mining activities at the site are not anticipated to expose ground water. If ground water is encountered, the <br />area will be immediately backfilled to a minimum of 2 feet above the ground water exposure. <br />Water for processing, dust control, materials handling, and all other consumptive uses at the site will come <br />from the gravity takeoff on the Platte City Placer Ditch located in the NEt/4 of the NE' /4 of Section 32.
