(EFCI), 115 E. Main <br />Street, STE 10, P.O. Box 459, Florence, Colo- <br />rado 81226, has filed an approval request for <br />Technical Revision No.42 (TR -42) with the <br />State of Colorado, Division of Reclamation, <br />Mining and Safety (DRMS). All mining operations <br />subject to this permit have ceased, and only recla- <br />mation and monitoring activities are occurring. <br />Areas addressed by the TR -42 Request per- <br />tains to sediment Pond 4 which is located <br />northeast and immediately adjacent to the <br />Refuse Disposal Area (aka. Refuse Pile) at <br />the Southfield Mine. The respective landown- <br />ers have requested that sediment pond, Pond <br />4, be retained as a permanent structure as a <br />potential source of water to enhance post <br />mining land use wich is approved for range- <br />land and wildlife habitat. <br />The Southfield Mine area is located approxi- <br />mately eight miles south of Florence, Colo- <br />rado, on County Road 92. The Mine area is <br />bounded on the south and west by the base <br />of Wet Mountains, and Newlin Creek bisects <br />the mine area from southwest to northeast. <br />The Southfield Mine permit area is located on <br />portions of the following sections: <br />Sections 19, 30 and 31; Township 20S, <br />Range 69W, 6th Principal Meridian <br />Sections 23, 24, 25, 26 and 36; Township <br />20S, Range 70W, 6th Principal Meridian <br />These sections are shown on the U.S. <br />Geological Survey 7.5 minute Rockvale <br />quadrangle map (Mine Area). <br />A complete copy of the Southfield Permit Re- <br />vision Application is on file and available for <br />public inspection in both the Clerk and Re- <br />corders Office in the Fremont County Court- <br />house, Canon City, Colorado, and the DRMS <br />offices located at the following address: <br />Colorado Department of Natural Resources <br />Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety <br />1313 Sherman Street, Room 215 <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br />Phone: (303) 866 -3567 <br />Additional information regarding the subject <br />application may be obtained at the DBMS. <br />Any comments or objection to the renewal <br />application must be submitted to the DBMS <br />within 10 days of the date of publication of <br />this notice in order to be considered. <br />Published: Canon City Daily Record April 22, <br />2015 - 5644398 <br />
