The Division finished its review of your responses and has the
following questions:
1. Item has been resolved.
Tri -State responded that the table on Map 2.05.3(3)-3 represents the proposed maximum design, but
the maximum design width was not necessary. If Tri -State has determined that a minimum width of
40 feet will not be required for all haul roads, please revise the table on Map 2.05.3(3) to reflect the
actual minimum width necessary to accommodate traffic at the site.
3. Item has been resolved.
4. Item has been resolved.
5. Item has been resolved.
6. The TOC was updated, as requested. The text on page 4 of Section 2.05.3 (3) was revised to direct the
reader to Appendix 2.05.3(3) -3. Please also include a reference here to Map 2.05.3(3) -4.
7. The Division has a new series of comments regarding Map 2.05.3(3) -4, to which a number of
additional changes have been made. Please update the map to address the following comments:
a. The base map in the plan view has been updated with what appears to be current topographic
data (as opposed to pre- mining topography). This change is extremely helpful. Please identify
the various features, i.e. topsoil stockpile, coal handling area (or other name, for the area north
of the haul road), and overburden stockpile.
pF CC}10
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, CO 80203 P 303.866.3567 F 303.832.8106 http: / /mining.state.co.us
John W.
