The slit trench will then be backfilled, graded and seeded with the approved
seed mix. A 3/4 inch diameter steel pipe marker will then be installed in the
hole to mark the site.
Location of drill holes /wells: A list of holes /wells is shown below that were
surveyed during a field reconnaissance (June -July 2014) of drill holes /wells
that are scheduled to be sealed and reclaimed during the summer season of
2014. The location coordinates of these holes are included in the list
showing the latitude /longitude (NAD83 grid system) and the coordinates for
the Southfield Mine Grid System.
Southfield Mine - EFCI
DRILL HOLESfWELLS LIST - LOCATION COORDINATES
07/28/14 (EFCI field recconnaisance June -July 2014)
Hole #
HOLE I.D.
DESCRIPTION
1
SF -87 -06
Rock Dust Borehole
2
SF -87 -07
Planned Power Borehole
3
SF -87 -09
Planned Water Well
4
Liberty 2
Dewatering Well
5
Manley 3
Dewatering Well
6
Vento 2
Dewatering Well
7
Zenith 2
Dewatering Well
8
MW -NW
ACTIVE MONITOR WELL
9
SR -7
Abandoned Monitor Well
10
SR -8
Abandoned Monitor Well
11
SR -10
Abandoned Monitor Well
12
SR -16
ACTIVE MONITOR WELL
13
SR -22A
Abandoned Monitor Well
14
SR -23
ACTIVE MONITOR WELL
15
WW -186
Water Well
16
WW -370
Water Well
17
WW -250
Water Well
18
SR -46
Mine Power Borehole
19
SR -65
ACTIVE MONITOR WELL
20a
SR -59
Exploration Borehole
20b
WW -330
Water Well
SURVEYED LAT -LONG
NORTH WEST
38d16'56.87" 105d09'44.77"
38d17'25.85" 105d09'52.62"
38d17'12.71" 105d10'17.88"
38d17'13,73" 105d09'42.87"
38d16'54.95" 105d09'42.89"
38d16'48.04" 105d09'50.25"
38d17'32.07" 105d09'20.54"
38d17'27.03" 105d09'42.77"
38d16'36.97" 105d10'05.01"
38d16'49.13" 105d10'35.29"
38d17'08.43" 105d09'45.88"
38d17'00.25" 105409'20.11"
38d16'20.34" 105409'31.31"
38d 17'26.81 " 105d09' 17.20"
38d16'22.102" 105d10'17.747"
38d16'25.110" 105d10'21.692"
38d16'23.849" 105d10'22.079"
38d16'54.38" 105d09'50.01"
38d17'27.82" 105d10'46.33"
38d16'28.535" 105d10'27.976"
SURVEYED COORD -
EFCI BASIS
NORTH
EAST
8401.828
9978.464
11325.085
9309.941
9966.55
7314.75
10109.673
10105.698
8209.723
10131.007
7501.937
9554.588
11990.939
11859.211
11455.898
10093.676
6364.471
8392.718
7560.20
5960.67,
9569.880
9872.928
8771.975
11940.518
4720.926
11105.677
11462.429
12133.649
4845.873
7398.767
5145.751
7079.696
5017.716
7050.695
8143.105
9564.499
11462.476
5024.587
5485.189 6573.4881
When mining is completed, the mine portals will be sealed to prevent
access. Sealing will involve fabrication of concrete block walls located a
minimum of 25 feet inby the portal openings. The outside surface of the
block walls will be sealed with an MSHA approved sealant to prevent
seepage of surface or groundwater through the seal and the block walls will
be keyed into mine openings. The void between the block barriers and the
portals will be backfilled with rammed compacted overburden material. An
expanded discussion of closure and reclamation plans is presented in Section
2.05.4, Reclamation Plan.
MR-63, 4.07 -2 Revised: 7 -28 -14
