Patterson, Energy Fuels Coal, Inc. <br />Page 9 <br />April 23, 2015 <br />d) Impacts to Groundwater QualitX <br />DRMS: i) Please provide a detailed analysis of the impact of the Southfield Mine on <br />groundwater quality, allowing the identification of trends in the data (perhaps a <br />selection of individual water quality parameters could be plotted against time, for <br />example: TDS, [Fe], [Mn], [Se]...) <br />EFCI: An analysis, prepared by Weaver Engineering Services, of water quality trending <br />can be found in APPENDIX `A " included with this submittal <br />DRMS: ii) Please include data collected from each groundwater monitoring point in <br />the analysis, including MWNW (which may be dry), in accordance with the approved <br />water monitoring plan described in Exhibit 25, and make a comparison to predictions <br />made in the PAP. <br />EFCI: Data will be included from each available monitoring point (MW-NW is dry at 353 <br />ft bgs) and will be compared to predictions made in the PAP and are included in <br />APPENDIX `A " <br />Items 1) d) i) and ii) have not yet been addressed to the Division's satisfaction. <br />The 2015 Weaver Analysis is appropriate in its approach, but will need to be resubmitted <br />with the additional data available following the abatement of NOV CV- 2013 -002. <br />2) Surface Water <br />a) Surface Water Monitoring <br />DRMS: Please continue to follow the approved water monitoring program, and to <br />attempt to monitor the creeks during times of high flow. <br />EFCI- Creeks have had no high flow in recent years for reasons as referenced in the <br />Division's February 12, 2015 Adequacy Review letter, i.e., (National Drought Mitigation <br />Center, "the region has been in drought conditions for several years " <br />The response is noted. Please continue to follow the approved water monitoring program. <br />b) Surface Water Rights <br />c) Impacts to Surface Water Quanti <br />DRMS: i) Please provide the full data set of surface water flow measurements from <br />MCI, MC2, NCI, NC2 and SAL (EFCI included data from 2000 to 2013 in the TR43 <br />submittal, but the entire dataset, including data from AHRs prior to 2000, should be <br />listed for consideration). <br />EFCI Additional historical surface waterflow data is provided in APPENDIX `A" <br />included with this submittal <br />
