and filed at the mine so as to be available for future inspection and review. In addition,
EFCI will file copies of both field data and laboratory analysis sheets on a semi - annual
basis with the CDRMS . At the end of each annual water year, EFCI will submit a
summary annual hydrology report according the Hydrologic Monitoring Plan shown in
Exhibit 25.
The annual report will document mine inflows, water discharged from the mine, water
consumed in the mine, water imported for use in the mine, and a discussion of
balance within the mine. In addition, the report will tabulate all water monitoring data
for the year and review the data with respect to changes in surface and groundwater
hydrology systems.
Under the provisions of the Southfield NPDES permits, EFCI, in addition to the
previously noted documentation and reporting requirements, will prepare and submit
quarterly NPDES compliance reports to the Colorado State Department of Health and
will provide copies of these reports to the CMLRD.
A comprehensive summary which is utilized as the guideline for on -site monitoring and
reporting is presented as Exhibit 25, Hydrologic Monitoring Plan.
Protection of Public Parks and Historic Places
Land use information presented in Section 2.04.3, Site Description and Land Use
Information, together with the Mine and Loadout Area Land Use Map, (Map 3),
confirms that there are no public parks or historic places within or immediately
adjacent to the Southfield permit areas.
Research of available information on possible cultural and historic resources in the
mine and loadout areas as described in Section 2.04.4 Cultural and Historical
Resources Information, confirms that there are no known sites listed or eligible for
listing on the National Registry of Historic Places within either the mine or loadout
areas. While several cultural or historical sites have been identified, none are eligible
for listing or have been identified as containing particularly unique or valuable
resources. All of the identified sites, while they are within the Southfield Permit areas,
are not within surface disturbance areas and are not expected to be effected by
mining and related activities.
MR -60 2.05.6 -54 Revised 03/2013
