Also, with the exception of those modifications noted above, no additional <br />modifications or additions were made during the fourth permit term, nor are any <br />planned for the remainder of the mine life. Major structures and facilities utilized <br />in conjunction with EFCI's mining, coal preparation, and related operations include <br />the following: <br />- Mine Portals <br />- Mine Fans <br />- Shop/Office/Warehouse Building <br />- Coal Preparation Plant <br />- Coal and Refuse Conveyors <br />- Coal Stockpiles <br />- Truck Scale <br />- Rotary Breaker <br />- Coal Refuse Permanent Stockpile <br />- Topsoil Stockpiles <br />- Mine Roads <br />- Ponds, Impoundments and Diversions <br />- Power Transmission Lines and Associated Facilities <br />- Guard House, Coal Laboratory, and Parking Areas <br />- Fuel Tanks <br />- Rock Dust Storage Bin <br />- Explosives Bunker <br />All of these structures and facilities were designed and constructed, and utilized <br />and maintained, to serve specific needs and minimize potential environmental <br />damage and safety hazards. Upon completion of all mining related operations, <br />physical structures will be salvaged or demolished except those approved for <br />permanent retention. Demolition debris will be placed in designated disposal sites, <br />covered, and the disposal areas reclaimed.
