April 21, 2015 C- 1981 - 038 /Bowie No. I Mine JDM <br />Silt Fence has been installed in the locations of the damaged fence. The silt fence was in good condition with <br />evidence of silt fence repair since the last inspection. The silt fence has fallen in various locations and on -going <br />maintenance will continue to be required. <br />ROADS — Rule 4.03 Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3) Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4) Surfacing and Maintenance <br />4.03.1(5) and (6)/4.03.2(5) and (6) Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br />The East Mine Haul Road has been narrowed to the current configuration. All surface drainage is directed to the <br />roadside ditch on the uphill side of the road by water bars. The ditch flow is then directed out of the ditches and <br />into Ditch 7, a drainage that runs parallel to the west side of the West Ridge Waste Pile, and out of the affected <br />area west of the West Ridge Waste Pile. The East Mine Haul Road was stable with no problems noted. <br />RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3: <br />The reclaimed slopes at the East Mine and West Mine were stable with no signs of erosion or instability. <br />REVEGETATION — Rule 4.15 <br />Vegetative Cover; Timing: <br />Good vegetation growth was observed throughout the reclamation on both the East and West Mines. Evidence of <br />noxious or invasive weed management was observed during the inspection. Thistle growth was observed in the <br />rock -lined channel on the west side of the bench just below the portal.
