Pitch Reclamation Project Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board — 2014 Annual Reclamation Report <br />5. INSPECTIONS <br />The last inspection conducted by DRMS was on September 5, 2013. During the inspection the presence <br />of Canadian Thistle was observed on the small area on the east wall of the North Pit In addition, <br />Scentless Chamomile (Matricaria perforata) was observed in a small area on the upper part of the Tie <br />Camp Creek Rock Dump. Both areas showed a large reduction in both noxious weeds between 2012 and <br />2014. <br />Pest Away was brought on site again in 2014 to assist with noxious weed control. All areas in question <br />were sprayed using 7 oz /acre Milestone with Telar XP and 1.5 oz /acre Escort XP w /R -11 Activator. The <br />areas will be monitored closely after the 2014 snow melt to see if the noxious weeds reappear and <br />reapply the herbicides as needed. <br />z .rp g <br />A <br />r� <br />. ,,.+ kels- <br />Photograph 28: 2014 Fall Weed Spraying by Pest Away Contractor <br />Agency inspections that were conducted in 2014 included Jason Ward of the Colorado Division of Water <br />' Resources on August 6, 2014 and Edgar Ethington of the CDPHE, Radiation Management Program on <br />August 28, 2014. The reports filed from these inspections are included in the CD in the back of the <br />report.
