6.4.1 EXHIBIT A — Legal Description and Location May
1. Areas of the easterly portion of this pit are already mined under the current
Branson Pit permit #M- 1997 -100. There is still a "limestone" layer in these areas
that we've attempted/ing to make road base out of with mixed results. Therefore
the need to expand this pit to the west, which contains a "rock" deposit, through
this amendment. There will be periods when this pit will be idle since Las Animas
County's and/or it's contractors' processing equipment are used /moved
throughout the County to various pits dependent upon the County road segments
that need base material, but this pit will remain active during these idle periods.
The current pit has been issued an "intermittent" status and we're requesting that
this status continue.
