New Cache Pond 1 Pit Adequacy Letter <br />Page 2 of 4 <br />April 13, 2015 <br />6.4 Specific Exhibit Requirements — Regular 112 Operations <br />The following items must be addressed by the Applicant in order to satisfy the requirements of <br />C.R.S. 34- 32.5 -101 et seg. and the Mineral Rules and Regulations of the Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board: <br />6.2.1(2) General Requirements of Maps and Exhibits <br />4. Rule 6.2.1(2) requires maps be signed by a registered land surveyor, professional engineer, <br />or other qualified person. Please submit signed copies of the Exhibit C maps. <br />6.4.3 Exhibit C - Pre - Mining and Mining Plan Maps of Affected Land <br />As required by Rule 6.4.3(c), please provide a map portraying the existing topography of the <br />area with contour lines of sufficient detail to portray the direction and rate of slope of the <br />affected land. <br />6. The Applicant did not indicate there are any power and communication lines on the area of <br />affected land and within two hundred (200) feet of all boundaries of the affected area. <br />Please verify there are no power and communication lines within 200 feet of the affected <br />area. This would include utilities and utility easements along WCR 60.5. <br />7. Please update the text on Exhibit C — Attachment 1 to indicated 16.2 acres of affected land, <br />not 12.02 acres. <br />8. Please update Exhibit C to indicate the location of the topsoil stockpile. <br />6.4.4 Exhibit D - Mining Plan <br />9. Please state if the Applicant intends to operate the site continuously or if the Division should <br />consider the site an "intermittent operation" as defined in C.R.S 34- 32.5- 103(11)(b). <br />10. The Applicant states soil supporting plant growth will be stored in the mining area and used in <br />the reclamation process. Rule 6.1.9(a) requires vegetative cover or other means shall be <br />employed so topsoil is protected from erosion. Please provide a topsoil stockpile protection <br />method. If vegetative cover is planned, please provide a seed mixture in pounds of pure live <br />seed per acre. The Division recommends the Applicant uses the Reclamation Plan seed <br />mixture for topsoil stabilization. <br />11. The Applicant states there will be no water used with the mining operation, other than for <br />dust control as needed. Please provide the source of the dust control water and provide <br />documentation the source is permitted for this use. <br />
