All other areas such
as the residence, the Water Holding Pond and the Surge Pond will remain after reclamation.
The permittee makes the commitment to keep only 1.0 acres of pit area to be reclaimed at any one time.
The 1.0 acre pit area will require backfilling of approximately 5000 cubic yards. The Settling Pond will
require 500 cubic yards of backfill. Therefore, 1.4 acres will require grading and topsoiling. Since 6
inches of soil will be required, this is a volume of 1129 cubic yards.
Table L -1
Worst Case Reclamation Costs
Task Item
Cubic Yards
Price per CY
Cost per Acre
Cost
Backfilling
5500
1.5
$8,250
Grading
350
$490
Soil Replacement
1129
2.3
$2,597
Seeding
300
$420
Total Base Costs
$11,757
DRMS Management
30%
$3,527
Total Costs
$15,284
Sullivan Aggregate Pit March 2015 L -1
