COLORADO
Division of Reclamation,
Mining and Safety
Department of Natural Resources
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, CO 80203
March 5, 2015
Allen P. Small Trucking Et Excavation, Inc.
Allen Small
2149 CR 309 A
Ignacio, CO 81137 -0000
RE: Notice of Field Office Consolidation and Closure of Durango Field Office
Dear Sir /Madam:
An analysis of the economics, personnel, impacts to permit holders, and other factors was recently
undertaken to determine how the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Division) field offices can
best serve operators and the public. After careful consideration it was determined that it is in the best
interest of the State of Colorado, the Division and operators to consolidate its two field offices into one
location. Therefore, the Durango Field Office will be consolidated into the Grand Junction Field Office
on July 1, 2014. This letter is to notify you that effective June 1, 2015 the Durango Field Office will
cease operations. The Division will be using the month of June to close the Durango Office and transition
to Grand Junction. All Division field office business and other responsibilities will officially be
transferred to the Grand Junction Field Office effective July 1, 2015.
At this time it is expected that some of the Durango staff will be relocating to Grand Junction to carry on
their assignments. Division staff will notify you if those assignments change for any reason. Please note
that as previously requested, all mail and submittals should be sent to the Denver Main Office at 1313
Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, CO 80203. E -mails for staff will not change and during the month
of June that will be the best form of direct communication. New telephone numbers and contact
information will be distributed to operators once they are finalized.
Thank you for your patience during this time of transition. If you have any questions please feel free to
contact Tony Waldron or Russ Means at 303 - 866 -3567.
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, CO 80203 P 303.866.3567 F 303.832.8106 http: / /mining.state.co.us
John W.
