EXHIBIT D:
RECLAMATION PLAN
This reclamation plan is prepared for a proposed mining operation known as the Iron & Wm.
Richardson Lode Claims in Gilpin County, Colorado. Nevadaville Encore, LLC, P. O. Box
1442, Central City, CO 80427, (303) 681 -1111, includes this plan as "Exhibit D" for a Limited
Impact (1 IOd) Operation Reclamation Permit Application No. M- 2014 -066 with the Colorado
Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety.
The area to be reclaimed is the easternmost 500 feet of the historic mine dump of the Richardson
Claim. No more than one acre of new disturbance is contemplated for this operation. Virtually all
of the proposed disturbance area is covered with mine dump material. An approved reclamation
bond will be posted with the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board.
No new roads will be created during this mining operation. Only a few pine and aspen trees are
currently growing on the areas of proposed disturbance. They will be removed. Photos of current
conditions at the mine site are attached to this permit application.
After mining is completed, the disturbed areas will be graded to match natural contours as much
as possible, and topsoil will then be constructed. The maximum grade anticipated after regarding
is 25 %, i.e., 4H:1 V. No reclaimed slope will exceed a slope of 3H:1 V. After the topsoil has been
constructed the area to be reclaimed will be fertilized and seeded and strawblankets installed for
mulch and for erosion control. Details are given below for each of the planned reclamation
activities.
1) TOPSOIL. Topsoil will be constructed by placing 1' /2 -21/2" of biocompost on the
graded areas by chiseling and/or discing. The biocompost shall be weed free and meet, or be
equivalent to, the specifications of the biocompost provided by Pioneer Sand And Gravel in
Golden, Colorado as indicated by the attached specification sheet. The biocompost will be
delivered to the site after grading and will be spread and chiseled and/or disced as indicated
above. No bio- compost will be stored for more than one week one site before being incorporated
into the constructed topsoil.
2) SEEDING. The constructed topsoil, as described in paragraph 1 above, will then be
fertilized if required, as determined by the results of a soil test as to which nutrients may be
deficient in the constructed topsoil and as recommended by the seed mix supplier. The seed mix
will then be applied. An appropriate native plant seed mix and fertilizer will be broadcast over
the topsoil for final reclamation. The seed mix contains a sterile non - native species that is fast
germinating, i.e., Regreen Wheat and Wheat Hybrids, to provide initial stabilization of the
reclaimed area. The balance of the mix consists of native species as recommended by the seed
supplier, the Botanist for the United States Department of Agriculture for Colorado; and, in
conformance of the request by Colorado Parks and Wildlife, for more diverse and native species.
The proposed seed mix is as follows:
