Peabody Sage Creek Mine <br />SL -3 Phase III Bond Release Request <br />July 2014 <br />Permanent Infrastructure Documentation <br />Roads. Several roads were approved as permanent features for the Seneca II Mine under <br />Technical Revision 37 (TR -37) approved in September 2006 and included with PR -02 in <br />December 2010. Segments of the following approved roads occur within or adjacent to the <br />current PSCM permit area (See Map 2 for permanent feature locations): <br />• Road E1 <br />• Road C <br />• Road F <br />• South Road <br />• South Road Spur to Pond 008 <br />These roads are necessary to continue support of the postmining land uses. <br />Permanent Impoundments. A number of small livestock /wildlife stock ponds have been <br />approved as permanent infrastructure on PSCM reclaimed lands in various technical and minor <br />revisions since 2002. The approved stock ponds are shown on Exhibit 13 -2A "Postmining <br />Topography and Permanent Features" map (revised September 2009) in the Seneca II permit (C- <br />1980-005). These ponds are contained within the lands transferred to PSCM from the Seneca II <br />mine. The stock ponds within or immediately adjacent to the BRB PSCM -1 Phase III area <br />include T4, T8, T16, T17, T26, T28, T29, T30, T31, and T35. Please refer to Map 2, Phase III <br />Bond Release SL -3 Permanent Features Map attached to this application. <br />Hydrology <br />A) Basic Standards Interim Narrative Standard for Ground Water (CWQCC Regulation <br />41.5 (C) (6)) <br />Note: All tables referenced in this section may be found in Attachment E to this document. <br />The Ground Water Point of Compliance ( GWPOC) wells for the Peabody Sage Creek Mine <br />(PSCM) were established in 2009 for the Seneca II Mine (Permit No. C- 1980 -005) and were <br />included in the transfer of permitted lands to PSCM. GWPOC wells were established in <br />Technical Revision 47 (TR -47), which is located in Attachment 7 -3, Tab 7 of the Seneca II Mine <br />permit package. The conclusions reached in TR -47 remain valid for PSCM. Please refer to Map <br />2.04.7 -M1 Hydrology in the PSCM Mining Permit for groundwater and surface monitoring sites. <br />The GWPOC well in the Fish Creek alluvium is Well SFAL72 (aka, Twentymile Coal Company <br />Well 008- AU -3), which is located less than one mile downstream of the Bond Creek (Seneca II <br />24 <br />
