Analysis (EA) for the Tres Rios Field Office of the Bureau of Land Management in
Durango, Colorado addressing the modification of the GCC federal coal lease COC-
62920 to add approximately 950 acres of additional underground coal reserves to the
King II Mine logical raining unit. In the analysis for that EA, it was determined that
there were no significant impacts to T &E species from the mine.
On behalf of GCC we are requesting written USFWS concurrence for submittal to
CDRMS that the continued operations of the King H Mine, as permitted, will not affect
T &E species or their critical habitats.
If you have any questions concerning this concurrence request please contact me at your
convenience.
Sincerely,
444k%--A
Michael S. Savage
Principal
c: Tom Bird, GCC Energy LLC
Marcia Talvitic, Colorado Division of Declamation, Mining and Safety
