We
are looking at installing a similar drain in the Allison Pit, but eight feet wider.
Also enclosed are two maps describing the following:
• Point 1 — Shows the point at which the pit will be able to drain both ways. As we lower
the pit floor, we will not be able to drain out of the old drain, as it will not be low enough.
• Point 2 - Shows where the pit will drain when we lower the pit floor. This point may
vary depending on the depth we take the pit floor.
• Point 3 — Shows where we will remove two feet of dirt keeping a 10 -1 drop.
• Point 4 — Shows installation of concrete block with a layer of 5 " -12" rock on the back
side, allowing the water to slow down and spread out.
