Compliance With Mine Plan <br />NA - Support Facilities Not On -site <br />NA -Other <br />NA - Special Categories Of Mining <br />R - Processing Waste <br />Y -Topsoil <br />COMMENTS <br />This was a Complete Coal Inspection of the Bowie No.2 Mine conducted by Jason Musick of the Colorado <br />Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety. Marcia Talvitie of the Division accompanied the inspection on the <br />afternoon of March 24th and Robin Reilley of the Division accompanied the inspection throughout. Bill Bear of <br />Bowie Resources, LLC (BRL) accompanied the entire inspection and Tamme Bishop of JE Stover & Associates <br />was present during the inspection on March 25th. Weather was clear and the mine site was dry on March 24th. <br />Rain and light snow was prevelant on the morning of March 25th and clearing by the end of the inspection. <br />The Bowie No. 2 Mine is an active underground mine. BRL was mining B seam coal in the west end of longwall <br />panel 16 with continous miners operating in the set -up room of Panel 17. Refuse was being hauled to Gob Piles <br />92 and 93. One loaded train was observed leaving the site on March 24th while one train was in the process of <br />being loaded on March 25th during the inspection. <br />AIR RESOURCE PROTECTION — Rule 4.17: <br />No fugitive dust emitting from the conveyor, gob piles, or roads was observed during the inspection. One water <br />truck was observed on the roads during the inspection. <br />AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS — Rule 5.02.4(1): <br />All records were inspected on the afternoon of March 24, 2015. A DRMS Availability of Records form is <br />attached to this report. <br />FISH and WILDLIFE — Rule 4.18: <br />The postmining land use for the majority of the area to be disturbed is rangeland and wildlife habitat. During the <br />inspection a heavy amount of Mule deer were observed throughout the mine site. The mining operations are not <br />currently having a negative effect on the winter range of Mule deer in the area of the operations. Evidence of <br />Rocky Mountain elk was identified throughout the mine site in both disturbed and undisturbed areas within the <br />permit boundary. <br />Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 11 <br />Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 3 <br />Page 2 of 11 <br />
