CHRONOLOGICAL HISTORY OF REVEGETATION & BOND RELEASE
As of 2014 all disturbed areas not deemed permanent have
been seeded. Total areas seeded and revegetated prior to 2014
are shown on 2012 annual reclamation report Chronological
Seeding Map. SCC submitted SL -5 requesting Phase II bond
release on eligible areas. Phase II release was approved on
approximately 798 acres (as shown in Figure 2).
The Report of Findings for Revegetation Success for Phase II
Bond Release will be submitted separately.
SEDIMENTATION POND SURVEYS
SCC is required by Permit C -82 -057 to monitor sedimentation
ponds for sediment storage capacities. This monitoring is
conducted by physically surveying each pond each year. This
schedule provides a sediment yield history and gives advanced
warning to operations personnel when sediment clean out work
is needed. Also, in accordance with Rule 4.05.6(11)(c), SCC
visually inspects each pond, at a minimum, quarterly each year.
During these inspections, any drastic change in sediment
storage /sudden increase in a sediment delta at the inlet of the
pond would be detected and mitigation implemented, if
necessary.
The results of the 2014 annual survey indicated that all ponds
are above the minimum requirement for storage and are shown
below on Table 13.3, Sediment Pond Capacities.
Figure 2: Phase II Bond Release Area (798
acres
TABLE 13.3 SENEC - SEDIMENT PONDS - WATER CAPACITY TRENDS
YEAR
21309
2009
201!]
2011
2012
2613
2014
II -W - 003
1.8
=
4.9
4 -9
4.3
43
4
J.3
TR -39
II -W - 006
4.44
4.8
J.3
5-3
53
5,3
5-3
5.9
2120,'2004
II -W - 009
4,35
72
-.3
7-3
6.6
6.6
7
6.8
7/10/1992
II -W - 015
2.41
2.8
2.9
3
2.8
2.9
2-7
2.6
5/24 {2000
II -W - 016
2.804
33
3.-
3.9
18
3.8
37
33
TR -73 6111
II -W - 017
1.68
5.6
5.6
5.4
4.8
4.7
_ -
11.
8/1/2003
f ?J Bdo.SEDC.42. rrrrlirfvra ?0}r/24 hr aorsnr ar
f2 Rang capacidy br,u•rirrapals5id. or ariiic¢
STOCK TANKS
No new stock tanks were constructed in 2013.
7
