Park for irrigation purposes; one line, three inch diameter, entered the park through the main
entrance, and the other line, eight inches in diameter, came into the site from the East near
Pond 4 and continued west for approximately i,600 feet. Three fire hydrants were installed on
this line to provide irrigation access. Approximately 3,500 tons of new soil was transported to
the site and applied to the area South of Ponds 3 & 4, and re- graded, for the purpose of
attempting to correct the failed ist re- vegetation effort conducted earlier in that area. The City is
planning to re -seed the area in spring of 2015 using a hydro- seeder.
As the City and Colorado Parks & Wildlife have continued to work together throughout 2014 a
new permanent fence has been installed between Ponds 1 & 3. New, permanent, Park Rules
signs have been installed at two locations in the public access area of the Park.
As a final note, the City has been awarded a Fishing Is Fun grant, with funds available in 2015,
to install a handicapped accessible floating fishing dock at Pond 1, a shade structure and a
permanent restroom facility.
Sinc ely,
Jo n R.
