IV. Seeding and Revegetaion.
A. Seeding shall be performed soon as possible after processing operations and
regrading are complete in order to prevent erosion and siltation.
1. Seeding is best done in October to ensure early germination the following Spring.
However, if Fall seeding is not possible, early Spring is the next best option (as soon as soils are
dry enough to prevent unnecessary soil disturbance).
2. Watering will be required, in cooperation with Galloway SG and /or BVR, to
ensure good germination and establishment through the driest months of summer.
B. Native grass species shall be used for seeding, along with Ladak variety dryland
alfalfa. Seed shall be drilled using the following recommended species and approximate
composition rates. Adjustment to this species list may be made in cooperation with Galloway
SG and /or BVR, maintaining at least five grass species in the final mix. Additional species to
consider are sheep fescue, Idaho fescue, Sandberg bluegrass, slender wheatgrass, mountain
bromegrass, and needleandthread.
r
tndian ricegrass :
00
Alfalfa ladak
Totals
80-12.0!40-
6.0 8.0 10 0.8 10.0 80
8 014 0 6.0 10 06 100 60
22
440 1000 6.1 10,0 60.5
F
Seed Recommendations: _
_
—i P
- -- ,
Variety [ P
PLS Rates —
PLS /Ac to i
i R
Rate i
i Acres to -
,
Species _ t
table 6: ?MTN 58} (
lr11Nan -Irr _
_L use 5100 °
"a 1 mix__ y__(PLS t
tblac} b
be seeded
 Totat PL8
B,uebunch :wheatgrass 0
0 -0 1
12 016-0 1
100 2
20 2
20 1
10.0 2
200
flutfonrass __,
00 1
10/95
1.0 2
20 0
02 -
- _100''_ 2
20
Western arheatgrass a
arriba__ 1
16.0/80 1
10.0 1
15_ 1
15 1
100 1
15.0
-Pr lunegrass 0
0 -0 1
1-0/05 1
1 -0 1
15 3
32 1
10.0 1
15
Bottlebrush sguirreltail 0
0.0 9
9,0/4.5 8
8.0 1
10 0
0.8 1
100 8
80
00
Alfalfa ladak
Totals
80-12.0!40-
6.0 8.0 10 0.8 10.0 80
8 014 0 6.0 10 06 100 60
22
440 1000 6.1 10,0 60.5
