No new reclamation was accomplished in 2014. Soil piles were seeded with approved native
grass seed to further stabilize. Soil piles previously stored have varying degrees of vegetation.
Proposed 2015 O ep rations
Mechanized operations will again consist of two sessions, approximately the last week in May
and the last week of September. Hand digging and screening of mined material using a
mechanized shaker will occur throughout the summer.
The current excavation at Site B/C will be extended north and to the east to continue excavation
of the site where topsoil was removed by the previous claimant at Site B. This area totals
approximately 0.6 acres and will eventually be mined and reclaimed. It is included as presently
disturbed area. The excavation will also be extended to the west boundary of the permit site. If
this is completed, backfill will begin on the northwest area of the claim and proceed east.
Anticipated 2015 Disturbances:
Approximately 0.02 acre of new area will be disturbed during the 2015 season. More time will
be expended screening gravel that has previously been stockpiled.
Proposed 2015 Reclamation:
Minor areas on the comers of the permit site may be reclaimed. Other areas are open for working
the gravel which has been stored. Any reclaimed areas will be recontoured and reseeded.
Sufficiency of Bond:
A reclamation bond of $ 8,477 is held by the State of Colorado. This bond is set aside to cover
annual and final reclamation efforts for this mining permit.
Respectfully submitted,
YPZ. /4
S DORRIS Atch
Ownerator Topaz Mountain Gem Claim Site Map
