March 18, 2015 C- 1982 - 057 /Seneca II -W Mine JHB <br />road cuts on main entrance road and has begun to green up for the season. There was an empty fireworks box at <br />the entrance gate. <br />Limited segments of road ditch on the north side of access road A (between T -2 and T -3) are beginning to <br />downcut. These segments of ditch need to be reshaped during regular road maintenance. <br />Rock sediment raps along access road J are holding up well, <br />For the time of year, roads are in good conditions. No breaches were observed on the roadside ditches. On the <br />roads that were accessible, runoff appears to be draining off the roads appropriately. <br />REVEGETATION: Shrub plots and transplants in the PM -2 drainage area have been heavily browsed. Some <br />shrub seedlings appear still viable while numerous others may have been damaged beyond survival. SCC should <br />continue to monitor these plantings. <br />SLIDES and DAMAGE - Rule 4.12: <br />The Pit Ramp Slide was viewed through binoculars. This slide has not changed in appearance. No <br />movement of this area was indicated by any changes in the appearance of the slope. Pond 006 slide, and pump <br />house slides both appear stable with no new apparent movement or scarp formations. <br />Drainages PM -2A, PM -213 and upper portions of PM3 were viewed via binoculars. This drainage basin appeared <br />stable and showed no indication of recent slumps or slides or new scarp formation. Snow pack remains patchy in <br />these upper portions of the drainage basins. <br />SUPPORT FACILITIES - Rule 4.04: <br />The mine access road is clear of snow to the shop area. No activity was taking place at the shop at the <br />time of the inspection. The Shop area was clear f snow, tidy and equipment was stored appropriately. Drainage <br />ditches around the facilities area were draining well and directing run off to the appropriate ditches. The outlet of <br />culver y -2 was partially crushed.
