Loveland, P.E. <br />Environmental Engineer <br />ilovelandAarchcoal.com <br />phone: 970.929.2308 <br />Re: Mountain Coal Company, LLC, West Elk Mine; Permit No. C- 1980 -007; <br />Minor Revision No. MR409: Stormwater Recycling Pipeline Project <br />Dear Mr. Stark: <br />Mountain Coal Company, LLC (MCC) submits this letter and application form for Minor Revision No. MR- <br />409 to install 1,600' of 8" HDPE pipe and 2,700' of 4" HDPE pipe to replace the existing temporary network of <br />fire hoses that allow stotmwater from Pond MB -5E to be transferred to flee Coal Preparation Plant (CPP) or to <br />MCC's adjudicated in -mine water storage area. <br />Specifically, the 8" pipe will be tied into the existing 8" pipeline that rims from Pond MB -5E to the discharge <br />point for outfall 004 located just west of the old entrance to the silo pad area. From that point, the buried 8" pipe <br />will be buried in the center of the access road along the west side of the LRP and up the corridor (easterly) <br />underneath the conveyor structure and into the CPP. A 4" pipe will run from the CPP through the enclosed <br />refuse conveyor structure, down the conveyor structure leg continuing in the access road north and east along <br />the RPE to the in -mine water storage inlet located east of the RPE pond.
