Greg Lewicki And Associates, PLLC
11541 Warrington Court Phone: (303) 346 -5196 Fax (303 }346 -6934
Parker, CO USA 80138 E -Mail: intbt?)lewicl i.biz
December 15, 2014
Dear
RE: Uncompahgre Pit M- 2013 -007
This letter is to inform you that Lazy K Bar Land & Cattle Company, LLLP is requesting
a reduction in the Uncompahgre Pit permit area from 253.23 acres to 244.25 acres for
their approved 112 c Permit with the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and
Safety. The permit number is M- 2013 -007. The reduction of 8.98 acres has never been
affected by the operation therefore, no reclamation rules are in effect. This change is part
of a Technical Revision submitted to the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety.
The revision encompasses the following changes:
1) The access road that is parallel to T Road has been shortened in length. It will
leave T Road and branch off to the pit approximately 990 feet west of T Roads'
intersection with Horsefly Creek.
2) The original office /shop area that was permitted further east of Horsefly Creek on
T Road has been eliminated. The office /shop has been moved to the portion of the
permit area that is located west of the Montrose Canal.
3) The visual berm that was to be left until the end of mining and then removed will
now be left in place. Therefore, the slope to the pit on the terrace will never be
changed. All mining will occur inside this natural berm.
You have been identified as a landowner within 200 feet of the permit boundary and
therefore you are being notified of the above reduction in permit area.
Sincerely
Greg Lewicki, P.E.
Greg Lewicki and Associates
Cc: Zane Luttrell
