Highway 385 <br />Burlington, CO 80807 <br />Re: Schlosser Pit 1, Permit No. M- 2014 -061, 112 Construction Materials Reclamation Permit Application, <br />Additional Adequacy Letter <br />Dear Mr. Schlosser, <br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Division) has further reviewed the content of the Schlosser <br />Incorporated 112c permit application for the Schlosser Pit 1, File No. M- 2014 -061, and submits the following <br />additional comments. Please note: these comments are in addition to the comments the Division prepared in the <br />February 3, 2015 adequacy letter. The Division is required to make an approval or denial decision no later <br />than May 1, 2015; therefore, a response to the additional adequacy review concerns, as well as the original <br />adequacy review concerns, should be submitted to the Division as soon as possible. In order to allow the <br />Division adequate time to review your responses to any adequacy issues, please submit your adequacy responses <br />to the Division no later than one week prior to the decision date (April 24, 2015). <br />Please note that any changes or additions to the application on file in our office must also be reflected in the <br />public review copy, which was placed with the Kit Carson County Clerk and Recorder by the Applicant. Please <br />submit proof that the public review copy has been updated or a copy of the response to the adequacy review has <br />been added to it. <br />EXHMIT D - Mining Plan (Rule 6.4.4): <br />24. The Applicant checked the box on question 15 of the application form indicating crushing/screening will be <br />a part of on -site processing and briefly explained that a secondary crusher with screen you be utilized for <br />sizing and stockpiling. The Exhibit D — Mining Plan narrative also stated that material would be processed <br />and removed from the site by haul trucks. Please further describe the nature of this processing, the facilities <br />associated with processing, and the chemical utilized (if applicable). Please also update the Mining Plan <br />Map with the location(s) of the processing facility. In addition, Exhibit M — Other Permits and Licenses <br />may need to be updated in association with the on -site processing. <br />EXHIBIT G — Water Information (Rule 6.4.7): <br />25. The Applicant stated that approximately 50,000 gallons per year would be used for dust control and would <br />be provided by Schlosser Incorporated. In accordance with Rule 6.4.7(4), please provide the legal source of <br />the anticipated quantity water required for the operation; for example, please provided a well permit and <br />information demonstrating the quantity of water is owned by the Applicant or a provided the Division with <br />who the Applicant will purchase the water from. <br />This concludes the Division's additional adequacy review of this application. This letter shall not be interpreted to <br />mean that there are no other technical deficiencies in your application.
