Total Disturbance 70.00 ac t <br />Clay Approximately 42.80 acres is disturbed. We continued to <br />mine deeper into the clay vein this year(light blue) and use <br />the processing area (purple). <br />Gravel Approximately 27.20 acres is disturbed, the plant site area <br />(orange) , stockpile area and gravel is removed from the <br />partially mined are in Stage B (light orange) . The material <br />processed at the Plant Site came from gravel mined this year <br />on the Rocky Flats Pit (M- 1987 -113). Some waste rock was <br />removed for use by the mineral owners from the pre -law <br />stockpile areas. <br />8. Clay No new area was disturbed this year as we continue to mine <br />the area stripped in previous years. The stone yard on the <br />west side of Stage C was expanded by 2.50 acres. <br />Gravel Mining will continue to removed material between the Church <br />Pit and the Rocky Flats Pit as approved in the permit. No <br />sloping will be required along the permit boundaries on the <br />east side of this mine. <br />9. No reclamation was required this year. The Pre -law stockpile areas <br />that were disturbed have been graded so only resoiling and seeding <br />will be needed when it is time for those areas to be seeded. <br />Stockpiles of growth medium are located along the west and south <br />sides of the permit area (pink). The piles have been temporary <br />seeded. <br />11. No reclamation is called for during the next year. However, <br />backfilling may continue in the old clay pit area in Stage 0. If <br />the opportunities to sell rock from the pre -law overburden piles <br />occur, that removal will continue as well. <br />12. Approximately 4.55 acres on sections of the clay mine area have been <br />backfilled over the life of the mine. The filled area is graded and <br />used for working area in the Clay and Gravel Plant sites. <br />13. Weeds were sprayed in 2014 for a total of 6 days. <br />Areas spraved: Roadways, disturbed areas and berms <br />Dates: May 2, 3,15, 19 & 20 and June 5 <br />Chemical used and rates: Perspective - 4.75 oz /ac.; <br />Induce - 12 oz /ac; Telar - 2/9 oz /ac . ; Escort - 2/3 oz /ac . ; <br />Milestone - 6 oz /ac.; LV4 - 32 oz /ac.; LV6 - 0.22 oz /ac & <br />marker dye - 10 oz /ac <br />Species targeted: Diffused Knapweed, bindweed, mullein, Scotch <br />thistle & Houndstongue, Kochia and Russian thistle. <br />Success analysis: good, spraying will continue each year. <br />18. The approved bond amount is $319,000 and was reevaluated on January <br />30, 2014 by the Division and found to be adequate at that time. <br />Attached is the $791.00 annual fee (Check # )• <br />
